About Joel Magen

Knowing that people will be living with and using the pottery that I make with my hands is quite an honor for me. I like the work to have a nice balance and feel, with colors that are soft and pleasant to the eye.

I've been influenced visually with pottery from Japan and the functional ware out of England. Usefulness of objects has always had its own beauty to me and I hope that you find that same feeling from my work.

All the pottery is made by hand in my shop. The pieces can vary slightly but are still uniform and sets are balanced.
